Description
The use of high-hardness stainless steel for the core and easy-to-sharpen stainless steel for the sides provides sharpness and ease of sharpening. In addition, the use of a wet abrasive stone for blade preparation further improves the finish of the cutting edge, enabling a delicate cutting edge. The origin of Seki Kaji dates back to the Kamakura period when a sword smith from Kyushu moved to Seki (Mino), a region blessed with good soil, water, and charcoal, and began making swords. Many famous swords were born, but the master swordsmith [Magoroku Seki] devised a unique sword making technique and produced the finest kagimono with outstanding sharpness and beauty of artistry. As times changed from the Edo period to the Meiji period, many of Seki's swordsmiths shifted their business to the manufacture of household cutlery. The belief that Seki swords were praised for their unbreakability, unbending, and sharpness has been passed on to modern blade makers. The name of this product [Seki Magoroku] was made by the 27th generation Kanemoto, swordsmith Kanemoto Magoroku, who has passed on his sharpness to the present day while utilizing his skills as a master craftsman. *The Petit Knife is a right-handed* left-handed knife. It can be used by left-handed people. *Petty knife is designed to be used by left-handed people; ; |
