Associate Professor of Physical Education at the University of Tsukuba. Manager of the University of Tsukuba hardball team. He is the executive director of the All Japan University Baseball Federation and the managing director of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball Federation. When he was a student at Sapporo Kaisei High School, he participated in the summer Koshien Tournament as a captain* and outfielder. He was also a captain at the University of Tsukuba. After completing a master's degree at the University of Tsukuba Graduate School, he worked as a manager at a public high school in Hokkaido for four and a half years. In December 2000, he was appointed manager of the University of Tsukuba's hardball team, which competed in the Meiji Jingu Tournament in 2006. His main research interest is in motion analysis of athletes. His main publications include [[The Next Pitch]?
