This is the first book by Taku Kawamura, Japan's leading expert on baseball motion analysis, and Takeshi Iwaki, who has conditioned numerous professional players. Taku Kawamura Born in 1970. Associate Professor of Physical Education at the University of Tsukuba. Manager of the University of Tsukuba hardball team. Member of the All-Japan University Baseball Federation Managers' Association Steering Committee, and Director* Councilor of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball Federation. He played in the summer Koshien Tournament as a captain* outfielder at Sapporo Kaisei High School. He was also a captain at the University of Tsukuba. After completing a master's degree at the University of Tsukuba Graduate School, he worked as a manager at a public high school in Hokkaido for four and a half years. In December 2000, he became the manager of the University of Tsukuba's hardball team, which won the autumn 2006 Metropolitan University Baseball League championship. He mainly conducts research on motion analysis of athletes. His main publications include [[What's the Next Pitch? ], a collection of problems of pitch distribution to train the baseball brain, published by Kosha, and others. Tsuyoshi Iwaki Tsuyoshi Iwaki is an acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, and shiatsu massage therapist, as well as an athletic trainer certified by the Japan Sports Association. He graduated from Tomakomai-Higashi High School in Hokkaido, went on to study physical education at the University of Tsukuba (where he was a member of the baseball team), and then to the Graduate School of Physical Education at the same university, where he received a master's degree in physical education (sports medicine). He has worked as a personal trainer for professional baseball players including Kimiyasu Kudo, trainer for the Seibu Lions, wheelchair tennis player Shingo Kunieda, and trainer for the Japanese national team at the Rio Paralympics. Currently, he is the representative of Iwaki Athlete Conditioning, personal trainer for Junichi Tazawa, and also teaches conditioning to junior high school, high school, and college baseball teams. |
