Description
This otomi embroidered wall art frame is decorated with animals and photographs on white fabric. Otomi embroidery is a highly original form of embroidery produced by the Otomi people of northern Mexico. The Otomi people hand-stitch colorful animals and plants into their embroideries. Because of its high cultural value, it has been designated as a Mexican cultural heritage. In Otomi embroidery, Otomi women create designs by hand-stitching threads one by one. The design changes each time, making each piece of embroidery an original. Otomi embroidery gained recognition with the Hermes Spring/Summer 2011 model. The theme of this model was Mexico, and scarves with Otomi embroidery were presented and well received.
