| The half small cushion is [42 x 23 cm], half the size of the small cushion. Platz's care cushions are designed to release pressure from the top to the sides, which provides firm pressure dispersion. The cushion is made of Indian cotton, which is firm and suitable for cushioning, and hollow fiber, which is excellent for moisture dissipation. The cushion is fluffy, does not get damp, and does not easily sag even after prolonged use. Therefore, this half small cushion can be used for various purposes. It can be used as a lumbar pillow, as a shallow depth cushion, as a pillow, etc. About Platz Platz Co., Ltd. was established in Nishijin in the 1887's and set up store in Saga Arashiyama when the processing factory moved to the area. Platz's handmade cushions have been featured in anan, Sarai, Figaro Japon, etc.... Our handmade zabuton have been introduced in many magazines, TV, FM, AM, etc., and are also used in temples, shrines, and famous ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants) all over Japan. 自然素材の心地良さにこだわって、
温もりのあるものづくりを目指しています。
座布団は畳に由来します。古代の畳は寝具と座具の両方を兼ねており、身分や権威を表す物で、その座具としての部分が座布団の原型ともいえる茵（しとね）へと発達していきました。
鎌倉時代になると、綿の輸入の再開と、生産技術の向上により、側地に布を使うようになり、江戸中期頃には生地の中に綿を入れたほぼ現在の形になりました。しかし庶民に普及したのは、大正時代になってからのことです。
