樫の木はその字が示す通り大変固い素材です。ただ堅いいだけでなく折れにくく、また耐朽性にも大変優れています。
堅い故に加工がしにくく、また大きな原木が少ない事から大型家具にはあまり見かけませんが、衝撃や負荷が大きい大工道具の柄にはほとんど樫が使われる他、太鼓のバチ、餅つきの杵、木造の橋や初期の鉄道の枕木やレールなど、特に強度が必要とされる要所には樫が使われます。頼れる材木、樫を1本贅沢に使用したステッキです。
【こだわり加工】
シャフトに数か所、装飾の切れ込みを施しヨーロッパで人気の竹の様な風合いに仕立てました。切れ込み部分には焼きゴテを使用したアンテークが施され竹の節と見間違える程の丁寧な仕立て。1本1本微妙に異なる色や表情は手仕事ならではの証です。
