Graduated from California State University, San Marcos, majoring in psychology. While in school, she encountered the picture book "The Giving Tree" written and illustrated by Shel Silverstein, which greatly influenced her career path. After graduation, she volunteered in Africa and Latin America, and later joined an NGO for international cooperation. She has been active in the field, focusing on reconstruction assistance after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Currently, she is working deep in the mountains to create works that will inspire people who pick up her picture books to move forward. Winner of the Encouragement Award in the adult picture book category of the 3rd Picture Book Publishing Award |
