Description
Rustic figurine of Ayacucho Ayacucho is a region famous for its pottery, which can be traced back to 3,000 years ago. The natives of the region placed unglazed animals and other objects to protect their homes. After the Spanish invasion, these were replaced by churches and crosses. This custom continues to this day, with unglazed churches of the saints on the roofs. Many ceramics are also made as folk art. |
