Seki Sanbonsugi Kurodachi Santoku Kitchen Knife 165mm, Made in Japan

[Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, one of the world's three major production centers of cutlery.]
The town of cutlery. Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, is known as one of the world's leading cutlery production centers, called "3S of cutlery" along with Solingen and Sheffield. The company has continued to produce high quality blades up to the present day.
[What is Seki Sanbonsugi?]
The blade pattern [Sanbonsugi] was created by sword smith Magoroku Kanemoto in the late Muromachi period.
The name "Sanbonsugi" was derived from the fact that the three even-grained blades have a row of pointed heads, and the three blades are interlaced with each other in a random pattern with a protruding height that looks like a row of cedar trees. The knife is the result of the skills of a number of craftsmen working together on a single knife.
