Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, along with Solingen and Sheffield, is known as one of the world's leading cutlery production centers, and has inherited the history of the Japanese sword, which has been "unbreakable, unbendable, and sharp" since the Kamakura Period, and has evolved the tradition of Seki swordsmithing with the times to produce high-quality blades up to the present day.
