大きなたぬきの置物。なぜか“信楽焼のたぬき”として有名で、
信楽=たぬきのイメ ー ジは一般に定着しています。
たぬきの置物は、明治期よりタヌキ=他抜きというごろ合わせから、
商光繁盛の縁起物としてつくられるようになりました。
それが日本中に知られるようになったきっかけは、昭和天皇が
信楽町行幸の際、たくさんのたぬきの置物の歓迎を受け、
歌を詠まれたことでした。以来、信楽といえばたぬきという
イメージが広く伝わりました。
この手のひらサイズの「SHIGA★LUCKY」は、デザイナーの川路あずさとの
協働開発によって新たなラッキーアイテムとして生まれ変わりました。
