[What is lapis lazuli?] Lapis lazuli is composed of several minerals, with lazurite (blue-goldstone) as the main component. It also contains pyrite (pyrite), which makes it look like a twinkling star in the night sky. Afghanistan, the world's largest producer of lapis lazuli, is famous for its Sari*Sang mine, which produces high-quality lapis lazuli with evenness in every part. [Meaning as a power stone] Since ancient times, lapis lazuli has been called the stone that symbolizes the heavens and is connected to the gods, and it has appeared in many mythologies around the world. In Egypt, it was as valuable as gold and was used in the coffin of King Tutankhamen. Its Japanese name is lapis lazuli, and in the Buddhist world it is one of the seven treasures. 【ラピスラズリとは?】
ラピスラズリはラズライト（青金石）を主成分として複数の鉱物から構成されており、ラズライトの粒子が多く含まれるほど深みのある青色を発色します。 また、パイライト（黄鉄鉱）を含むことで、夜空にキラキラと輝く星のように見えます。
産地のアフガニスタンは世界一の産出量を誇り、どの部分をとってもムラのない高品質のラピスラズリが採れるサリ・サング鉱山があることで有名です。
【パワーストーンとしての意味】
古来より、天を象徴する石、神に繋がる石と呼ばれ、世界中の神話にも多く登場しています。 エジプトでは、黄金と肩を並べるほどの価値があり、ツタンカーメンの王の棺にも使われていました。 和名は「瑠璃」とよばれ、仏教の世界では、七宝のひとつになっています。
ラピスラズリは洞察力や決断力を高め、心の邪念を取り除き幸運と成功をもたらす力があるといわれています。
