■ハンドメイドの結晶
インドには手で彫った木版を、手でスタンプして作り上げるウッドブロックという技法があります。
現在の日本では布はまるで新聞が印刷されるようにしてプリントされていきますが、その昔、高度な印刷機などを持たなかったインドの人々は自分たちの手で自分たちの布を綺麗に染めようと、木版を考えだしたのでした。
このハンカチはウッドブロックプリントを使って、昔ながらの手法で作られた一品です。
