Description
IDEA of Photography", a series of articles by Akihiko Nagumo, a photographer active in the field of advertising photography, in the monthly magazine "Commercial*Photo", has been compiled into one book. The title "IDEA" refers to the original thoughts and ideas that shape the world you envision. The photographs that embody these ideas will be enjoyed by everyone, both the photographer and the viewer. This book introduces the essence of photographic ideas for incorporating that [IDEA] into your photographs. The book is divided into three parts: Camera, Subject, and Lens. The "Camera" section covers each type of camera (SLR, mirrorless, large format, iPhone, rangefinder, etc.) and how to take advantage of their unique characteristics. The subject section is based on the concept of elements such as [natural form], [white], [black], [light], [boundary], etc. The lens section is based on the concept of [Leica Leica], [mirrorless], [large format], [iPhone], [rangefinder], etc. In the "Lenses" section, the photographers used the best lenses from Leica, Nikon, Canon, Sigma, and Sony to their fullest advantage. The book includes 15 works with explanations. All of the works are relatively simple in terms of photographic technique and lighting set-up, so anyone can take on the challenge. In addition, in the column "Ideas for Butsuri Effects," there are works using seven ideas to make the subject stand out: projection, transmitted light, ripples, color, smoke, angel's ladder, and powder. This book is not only for photographers, but also for all creators who work with photography, and will help them to increase their visual design capabilities. |
