Description
| Tsuboya-yaki pottery has been produced for about 400 years in the Tsuboya district and the Yomitan Village area, Okinawa's representative pottery production area*. Okinawan pottery is called "Yachimun" in the Ryukyu dialect. These vessels seem to be filled with the energy of Okinawa's generous earth and sun. While inexpensive foreign products are being sold in the market, the glaze is made in the traditional way, and the tradition of Tsuboya-yaki pottery is preserved and passed down from person to person, bringing you attractive Yachimun. This long rectangular dish with arabesque pattern is dyed in a subdued amber color. |
