The motif is based on Tokugawa Ieyasu's favorite sword, and the sheath is decorated with mitsuba hollyhock. Each knife is carefully bladed by a cutlery craftsman in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, the town of cutlery, so you can cut envelopes and other items comfortably. If you display it on a hanging stand, you can quickly take it out and use it without looking for a paper knife when you want to use it. Because it is housed in a sheath, the blade is never exposed and can be stored safely.
