Description
| Sumac weaving, which looks like embroidery, is a very time-consuming technique in which one more decorative thread is intertwined in addition to the warp and weft threads. The entire surface of this kilim is made of a dense sumac weave, and its beautiful texture can be enjoyed. This is a well-known design in the Siljan region called "Rahula," in which fine motifs are woven into the border pattern.
