Description
*Kapala, an important Dharma tool in Tibetan esoteric Buddhism Kapala (kapala) is a skull cup used to collect blood for Buddhist tantra-like rituals. It is believed that the more skulls of high ranking monks are used, the more one can achieve a state of transcendence of thought and mind in the shortest amount of time, and higher tantric meditation. In Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism, bones are considered sacred objects and are said to be made from the skull according to the will of the high priest. This kapala is also depicted in various Hindu deities, and a blood-filled kapala is often depicted on the left hand of Kali, Durga, and others. In Japan, the skull cup was famously presented by Nobunaga Oda at the banquet in which he vanquished Yoshikage Asakura. *The production is solid & gorgeous. A real caparla is made from a high layer skull, but this one is made from a resin called "resin. Please be assured that it is not a skull. The top of the skull is a lid, and you can put little things inside. There is a round hole on the side, so it would be good for an incense burner. Please enjoy it as an interior decoration, thinking of Tibetan culture. |
