Description
*Long length of cloth at a reasonable price. This is a long piece of cloth that is sent in a bundled length as shown in the product name. In addition to its generous length, it is also wide enough to be used for a variety of purposes. *Ajrakh design cultivated by tradition Ajrakh cloth is said to trace its roots back more than 4,000 years. It has been made from Sindh, Pakistan to Kutch, India. Traces of ajrakh cloth can be seen on the famous stone statues of priest-kings excavated in the Indus city of Mohenjo-daro (2500 B.C. to 1800 B.C.). The shawl over the shoulders of the statue was carved with motifs unique to ajrakh. The designs include a star-centered radial pattern and nature motifs such as plants, trees, and waves. Influenced by Islamic art, no people or animals are depicted. The geometric patterns are repeated, and the designs are reminiscent of Islamic architectural ornamentation. We hope you will also read the report of the Tirakita buying team's actual visit to the production area of Ajrakh cloth. *Handmade crystals This elegant and luxurious cloth is individually dyed with patterns using wood blocks (woodblocks). This is the result of very time-consuming and meticulous handwork, as the woodblock is changed every time the color changes. India is a treasure trove of beautiful fabrics, and this is one of the finest. The cloth has a unique irregularity that only handmade wood block prints can produce, giving it a very atmospheric quality. *Elegant and easy to use! Many Indian cloths are flashy, but we have just received a plain, elegant cloth that matches Japanese sensibilities. Within the large country of India, culture is largely divided into the North Indian cultural sphere and the South Indian cultural sphere. The music and cuisine are different, but so are the tastes of the cloth. North Indian cloth is flashy, while South Indian cloth is simple and chic, which we Japanese like. At Tilakita, we have searched for and brought in fabrics from South India that fit our taste perfectly! *Various uses The colors are beautiful and can be used in various places, not only as handicraft cloth, but also as interior coverings and decorative cloth. It can be used for sofa covers, curtains, and many other purposes. The shading is beautiful, so it is also wonderful as an original scarf or wall decoration. |
