Description
*Nepalese hand-woven cloth From Nepal, a country in the Himalayas, we have received wonderful cloth that conveys the warmth of its weavers. Also called dakka weaving or daka weaving, this traditional weaving cloth has been handed down from generation to generation in the mountainous areas of Nepal. The intricate geometric patterns woven by hand on a loom are beautiful and the soft cotton fabric makes for an enchanting finish. It takes several days for even a skilled weaver to weave a single piece of cloth, which is understandable given the care and attention to detail that goes into the work. *To be used for a variety of handicrafts This elegant cloth can be used as a table runner or luncheon mat by simply trimming the edges, and is not too flashy. It is also fun to use it as a wall hanging. It is a dreamy handmade fabric that will pass the time when you think of all the ways you can use it, such as for making shawls. |
