| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. [Features] Handmade No. 7 earthenware pot with hand-drawn and hand-dyed patterns. Both the body and lid are made of Kutani ware. The indigo blue coloring on the surface is simple yet modern. [Somezuke" is also called Chinese "blue and white" and refers to the technique of dissolving cobalt-based pigment, gozu, in water, drawing designs on porcelain, applying glaze, and firing. Since the dyeing method involves painting directly on unglazed porcelain, it is no exaggeration to say that the vigor of the brush and the craftsman's brushwork determine the quality of the design. The camellia pattern, a flower that blooms from winter to spring, is handmade in ceramics, which absorbs more water than porcelain, so it is characterized by its thicker thickness. It is also made of 50% petalite, which makes it heat resistant and lightweight. The hand-painted touch is soft and the cute camellia looks good on the bowl.
