| Nakayoshi Kokeshi are cute kokeshi characters based on the traditional kokeshi dolls of the Tohoku region. The Nakayoshi Kokeshi, mainly through stationery and sundry goods, convey the culture of the Tohoku region and good Japanese culture, including traditional games and daily life. This memo pad is a "Nakayoshi Kokeshi Aizu Higan Shishi" created to commemorate the Tohoku Rokkon Festival. The Aizu Higan Shishi is a traditional event in Aizu where three lions perform an old-fashioned dance to the sound of flutes and drums as the first day of the spring equinox. |
