Ancient Japanese culture and design are copied onto glassware using modern techniques*.
The National Treasure [Wind and Thunder Gods] (owned by Kenninji temple) is said to have been painted by Tawaraya Sotatsu, a painter of the Edo period.
About 70 years later, Korin Ogata copied it, and about 100 years after that, Hoitsu Sakai copied it, establishing the Rimpa school of art. The wind god and thunder god", a representative work of the Rimpa school, was copied on glass tableware.
It is recommended as a tray for Japanese sweets and small articles.
