| Yugami Nunome 20.5cm round bowl The combination of the glossy, mirror-like inner surface and the vigorous brushstrokes on the edge of the bowl make for a series that is full of flavor. The Nunome technique, in which a cloth is pressed against the surface to copy the pattern, is used. This [Re-Shokki] tableware uses recycled ceramic clay, which is rare for Japanese tableware. [What is "Re-Shokki"? Re-Tableware] is an eco-friendly and ethical tableware made by crushing collected unwanted tableware and mixing it with clay once again to give it a new form. [Re-Tableware was born in 1999 in Mino, Japan, with the cooperation of many people both inside and outside the production area, in an effort to change the common belief that ceramics cannot be recycled even though materials are becoming increasingly depleted. The circle of never-ending resource recycling and a new ethical lifestyle is being born through the cooperation of many people, including users, makers, and sellers of tableware.
