Description
[Seto ware / Seto pottery][Dish] Size:14.8 cm (diameter) X 2.2 cm (height) There is a slight variation due to the handmade nature of this product. This is an original product of Jun Tanahashi, a Nitten artist. This is a gem of casual use, though Oribe is a traditional glaze using slightly coarse-grained clay. The back side of the product is glazed with a technique called "Hariyaki" (hanging firing), so that tables and tatami mats are not easily scratched. Although it has a Japanese taste, it goes well with sweets and Western food. Artist Jun Tanahashi |
