[Ise cotton] Ise cotton is a traditional craft of Mie Prefecture. Ise cotton, which has been used since the Edo period, uses the most basic thread called single thread. Single thread is very difficult to weave because it is easy to break, and only good single thread can be used for weaving. Fabrics carefully woven with mono yarn are supple and pleasant to the touch, and are characterized by excellent moisture retention and breathability, making them comfortable to use. [Specialty of Fabrics-Wasarashi Tokuoka]. In Wasarashi, the fabric is packed in a kettle and cooked slowly over a period of two to three days. This process does not stress the fabric, resulting in a soft, dry finish. The fabric used for this product is "Tokuoka," which has the highest number of threads in the washarashi process, so it has a fine texture and a soft feel.
