本書は、スケートを楽しみ始めて、
フォア滑走やバック滑走ができるようになった頃、
「スケートをもう少し勉強したいな」と、
思うスケーターのために作られた本です。
スケート靴を履いて氷の上に立っても、
自分の脚で氷を押さなければ滑走することはできません。
ジャンプやスピンなど派手な技が目立ちますが、
まずは滑る方法を学ぶことが大切です。
滑走は奥が深く、沢山の技術がありますが、
中でも、上達するためにもっとも大切なことは、
ヒザを柔軟に使うことと、
上半身を固定してひねりの運動を行うことです。
