雅号は春朗といっていた時代です。
*龍頭の宝船ににぎやかに笑って七福神が乗ってやってきています。
空には鶴が舞い、海には亀が泳いでおり、鯛も釣り上げられています。皆めでたいものです。
七福神はそれぞれ法 具を持っています。吉祥物が豊富に描かれています。
宝船に乗った大黒天、恵比寿、弁財天、毘沙門天、福禄寿、寿老人、布袋の七人は福をもたらす神々として、
根強い信仰の対象になっています。
*室町時代から七福神が決められ、広く庶民の間に信仰されるようになったといわ れています。
七福神になった背景は、「仁王経護国般若波羅密教」受持品にある「七難即減、七福即生」という文言によるといわれます。
信仰によって七つの大難、
つまり太陽や星の異変、水害、火災、風害、旱害、盗難などは、ただちに消滅し、七つの福が生れるという意味です。
これになぞらえて七福神が信仰の対象になったといわれています。
*七福神が宝船に乗っているのは、日本が海に囲まれた島国だからです。
厄災も幸福も財宝も海を渡ってやって来ます。
福をもたらす神々も海からやってくるのです。
