15年に渡って撮り続けてきたハヤブサの写真を
1冊にまとめた写真集です。
真木氏が初めてハヤブサを目にしたのは小学生の頃、
飼っていた伝書鳩の1羽が大空で襲われ
逃げ帰ってきたときでした。
伝書鳩を襲った鳥はなんだったのか?
伝書鳩の手当てをしてすぐに学校の図書館へ調べに行き
それがハヤブサだったと知ったということです。
以来ハヤブサについて調べ目にするにつれ
魅了されていったのです。
ハヤブサの狩りは上空から急降下し
スピードをあげ頑健な足で一撃し、
蹴落として捉えるという豪快なものです。
その狩りの一瞬を撮影することは至難の技です。
ハヤブサの生態を知り尽くし、
行動を予測することができなければ撮影はできません。
