This 250cc tumbler has a bamboo grass pattern.
White porcelain clay is made into a thin layer and fired at a high temperature of 1,340°C. The thinness of the clay allows a slight transparency, making it appear to float.
The thinness of the clay allows the bamboo grass to become slightly transparent, and the appearance of the bamboo leaves reminds one of a scene seen through a shoji (paper sliding door).
You will enjoy the nostalgic tactile feeling of the clay when you touch and use it.
[Glazed Copperplate Vase]
Risen Pottery, located in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, was the first pottery in Japan to produce underglaze glazed copperplate transfer ware about 150 years ago.
These are vessels made by a painting technique with luster and texture, based on the technique of the now-defunct kiln and using a different paint mixture.
The pottery was awarded the Good Design Award in 2010.
*Due to manufacturing reasons, there may be individual differences in the hue of the patterns.
Recommended uses: Teacups, shochu cups, cups, tumblers
