Hinoki Cutting Board Before you start using it
The surface of the product and the inside of the shrink pack may ooze oil or grease, which is called [yani], a component unique to coniferous wood.
Yani contains Hinokitiol, which has antibacterial properties.
If the tar is adhered to the product, do not try to wash it off by force.
Once use is started, the yani will disappear in a few days.

Wet the surface lightly with water before use.
The water film on the surface makes it difficult for food odors and colors to seep through, and prevents blackening.
After use
