This is an introductory book designed for those who are learning the Vietnamese language, which has a complex phonological system, from the very beginning. The book contains many words and phrases to help learners acquire the Vietnamese way of thinking, assuming conversational situations in daily life. The book provides a particularly thorough explanation of respectful expressions, such as the use of honorific titles, which can be confusing for learners.
The book consists of 26 lessons, with pronunciation up to lesson 6, and the remaining 20 lessons consisting of example sentences, vocabulary, grammar, and exercises.
