This book aims at a deeper understanding of the dynamic interaction between Bartók's compositions and his research on folk songs by focusing on his folk song arrangements, which are at the interface between the two. In this book, all the arrangements are organized according to the original folk songs and the arrangement methods, and the overall picture obtained is discussed. Furthermore, by tracing the history of the formation of the "44 Duets," which is one of the points of achievement, a deeper analysis and discussion of Bartók's way of thinking in arranging folk music will be added.
