The white porcelain clay is made into a thin layer and fired at a high temperature of 1,340°C. The thinness of the clay allows it to be slightly translucent, making it appear as if it were floating.
The thinness of the clay allows the bamboo leaves to become slightly transparent and appear to float, reminding one of a scene seen through a shoji (paper sliding door).
You will enjoy the nostalgic tactile feeling of the clay when you touch and use it.

Risen Pottery, located in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, was the first pottery in Japan to produce underglaze glazed copperplate transfer ware about 150 years ago.
These are vessels made by a painting technique with luster and texture, based on the technique of the now-defunct kiln and using a different paint mixture.
