*What is neem (the Japanese name is Indian cendan)?
It has been used as a medicinal herb for detoxification and other purposes in India for thousands of years and is known as a sacred tree.
The seeds contain azetilactin, an ingredient that repels mosquitoes, flies, and other insects, and the extracted oil is well known in Japan for its insect repelling properties.
*Care
This is an unpainted finish with polishing only.
Although there is no problem with normal use, moisture and oil may seep through if the product is wet for a long period of time. This will change the texture and give it a "flavor", but we recommend applying oil as an easy maintenance method.
*Oil application maintenance method
Depending on the frequency of use, once or twice a month, soak a cloth or kitchen paper with 100% vegetable oil such as walnut oil and apply a thin layer to the wood.
Repeated use and oil replenishment will strengthen the wood and give it a unique texture.
