Ganesha is a very unique god with the head of an elephant, a large, chubby body, and a tiny mouse as his vehicle.
In Sanskrit, Ganesha means "lord of the crowd (Isha)," and is also called gaNapati, which means the same thing. In India, Ganesha is believed by many people to be the god of learning and prosperity.

This statue was carefully hand-carved by Nepalese craftsmen, one by one, to a special specification. It is a very time-consuming task to draw patterns on a statue with many curves, but even the smallest lines are carefully drawn.
