The geometric design of the continuous tribal pattern in subdued colors of engine, dark blue, and black is tightly woven with a fine weave using medium-fine wool. The surface of the kilim is strong and clean because there are no slits (vertical gaps in the colored threads) where the colors are switched, and the weft threads that switch the colored threads are passed horizontally on the reverse side, making it a single-sided kilim. This kilim is from the Shirjan region of Kerman Province in eastern Iran, which is famous for its dense and well-designed kilims, and can be used for a desk or under a dining table with ease and durability. The width is 149cm at the top end and 156cm at the bottom end, which is unique to hand-woven.
