Persian chintz (garamkar) is a traditional Iranian chintz cloth. It is painted by pounding it repeatedly in a wooden pattern, changing the pattern and color. The tassels are also hand-dyed and hand-joined by hand. It is said that the arabesque pattern was introduced to Japan from Persia via the Silk Road, but the exotic paisley pattern has a nostalgic retro atmosphere and blends well with any interior.
