2017年に『魅せる新体操上達のポイント50』を上梓いたしました。
日本体操協会が出す教本や研究報や、
指導者向けの書籍はあっても、
今、新体操を頑張っている子ども達が手にとって読める、
そんな新体操の本はなかったため、
大変好評をいただきました。
おかげで、2018年には同じシリーズで
団体競技編も出すことができました。
こちらも、今、団体の練習をしている子ども達に
すぐに役立つ実践的な内容になっており、
多くの方に読んでいただくことができました。
そして、2019年は、「手具操作」で本を出すことになり、
すでに、「ボール」「クラブ」「フープ」「リボン」の
4種は発売になりました。
本書はその手具シリーズの最後の1冊になります。
現在は、シニアの個人競技種目からははずれている
ロープですが、2019年からはジュニア個人種目に入っています。
また、団体ではシニアでも使われており、
新体操を始めたばかりのころには、
ボールと並んでよく使われる手具で、
縄跳びなど基本トレーニングにも重宝します。
ロープは、投げ受けの練習などはしやすく、
初心者や小さな子どもでも取り組みやすい手具ですが、
形の定まらない手具ならではの難しさがあります。
親しみやすい手具ですが、
実施減点なく演技することは、
キャリアを積んだ選手でもなかなか難しいのです。
本書が多くの子ども達、選手達にとって、
ロープという種目をより身近に感じ、
得意になるための手助けとなれば幸いです。
