Takayuki Sakaguchi
Painter*Picture book author
Born in Saitama Prefecture. He has exhibited his works mainly at solo exhibitions and public exhibitions, developing the Sakaguchi World.
He won the Grand Prize of the 12th Picture Book Publication Award for this work, which marked the beginning of his career as a picture book artist.
[The name "Darumaya" comes from the name of a candy shop he used to go to every day as a child.
