The Seikagama Kiln is a famous Kutaniyaki porcelain kiln for its inka-e (overglaze enamels).
Seikagama is a Kutaniyaki kiln that has produced a number of popular products that harmonize the traditional patterns born in its 360-year history with the modern age.
As the name of the [Kissho] series suggests, these small plates are all decorated with auspicious designs.
The auspicious design comes from ornaments worn by Indian aristocrats. In Buddhism, it refers to the decoration used to solemnize Buddhist statues, and also represents the solemnity of the hokei in temples.
Kutani ware made by Seisukagama is recommended for both daily use and as a gift because of its high quality.
