yamakiikai established in 1933, brings Tokoname ware—one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns—to life with its fine ceramics and tableware. As a leader in the regional ceramic industry, yamakiikai plays a key role in supporting local economic revitalization.

Despite challenges like a shortage of artisans and decreased production, a new CEO stepped in in 2021, aiming to preserve tradition while reimagining the brand with fresh perspectives. They have introduced signature products, like coffee teapots and original designs, tailored to suit today’s lifestyle.

Yamakiikai is also expanding through international markets, e-commerce, and partnerships, including a domestic glass factory. Beyond business, they also give back to the community through school donations, event sponsorships, and local recitals.
