During the postcard boom of the Meiji era, postcards of beautiful women were very popular throughout Japan. In particular, Convenience Store produced many postcards with the motif of "Kyo-bijin" (Kyoto Beauties). We have reprinted the glamorous postcards [Mai-gata], which were painted by four leading figures in the Kyoto art world. Recommended for #inbound visitors. |

明治の絵はがきブームのなか、「美人はがき」は全国で大人気でした。特に便利堂では「京美人」をモチーフにした絵はがきを多数制作しました。京美人の舞姿を京都画壇の重鎮四人に描かせた艶やかな絵はがき「舞姿」を復刻いたしました。
