| *Picture postcard [Yushoku Tachi-Hina] K-148* Circa 1882 (Meiji 15) (Lent by Kyoto National Museum) This is a picture postcard of "Yukoku Rikuhina" from the Kyoto National Museum collection. [Yushoku Tachi-hina were specially commissioned dolls made for court nobles and warriors under the supervision of court nobles who were knowledgeable in the art of dress. They are characterized by their attempt to faithfully reproduce the costumes of court nobles in terms of hairstyle*color of costumes*patterns, etc. They are recommended not only as seasonal greetings to those close to you, but also as interior decorations for your room.
