酒井抱一(さかい ほういつ)
宝暦11〜文政11年(1761〜1828)、姫路藩主・酒井家の次男として江戸に生まれる。画・俳諧・和歌など諸芸をたしなむ。狩野画を始め写生画・浮世絵・土佐派・円山派などの多くの画風を学ぶが、尾形光琳に深く傾倒し、江戸琳派の祖となる。繊細優美で叙情性豊かな作品を残した。代表作は『重文 夏秋草図屏風』『四季花鳥図巻』。
