| Stylish tenugui hand towel made by the Japanese traditional technique [shizome (tie-dyeing)]. These tenugui hand towels are painstakingly dyed one by one by hand using the Sogizome technique, which has been handed down since the Meiji era (1868-1912). You can enjoy the subtle texture of hand-dyeing, such as the unique coloring and blurring that only Sogi-dyeing can produce. [The name "Water Lily" is derived from the fact that the flowers close as if asleep in the evening. [The flower language of "purity of heart" comes from the fact that many wild water lilies have white flowers. Tenugui has many advantages that towels do not have, such as being "less bulky," "quick-drying," and having "unique patterns. 明治時代から伝わるそそぎ染めという手作業で一本一本丹念に染め上げられた手ぬぐいです。
そそぎ染めならではの色合いとぼかしなど手染めの微妙な風合いが楽しめます。
「睡蓮」は、夕方になると眠るように花を閉じることにちなんで名づけられました。
