舟越直木、待望の初作品集。
父は彫刻家・舟越保武、兄は舟越桂という芸術家一家に生まれ、父や兄につづき自然と創作の世界に入った舟越直木は、彫刻と絵画の間を自在に行き来し、形式にとらわれない、みずみずしさと神話性に満ちた多様な作品を生み出した。2017年5月6日、64歳で逝去。
本書は舟越直木の創作世界をまとめた、初めての作品集である。厳選した珠玉の95点を掲載。巻末には、友人で画家のO JUN、舟越桂、美術評論家の峯村敏明によるテキスト、舟越直木自身による言葉を掲載。
