| *Letter set [Rosanjin GONOMI] jar *Asagao*. Rosanjin Kitaoji This letter set is a collotype reproduction of a painting by Rosanjin. From the collection of works selected by Rosanjin himself [Rosanjin's Small Paintings] published by Convenience Store in 1933, we have selected works with a sense of the season that are perfect for letter decorations. The printing is done by hand, one by one, using the same boards as they were used at that time. *What is collotype*? While offset printing, a common printing method, expresses colors and shading with a density of small dots, collotype expresses them in continuous tone, which allows for more realistic and precise detail, just like a photograph. Kitaoji Rosanjin Born in Tokyo in 1883. He was a genius artist who pursued beauty through food, working in ceramics, calligraphy, and painting. His talent as an advisor and head chef was fully demonstrated at Hoshioka Saryo, a Japanese-style restaurant run by Nakamura Chikushiro, the fourth generation of Nakamura Chikushiro, and became a dominant force. #It is also recommended for inbound visitors. |

便利堂が昭和8年に刊行した、魯山人自ら選定の作品集『魯山人小品画集』より、お便りのあしらいにぴったりな季節感のある作品を選びました。
印刷には当時の板をそのまま再利用し、手刷りで1枚1枚仕上げています。

一般的な印刷方法であるオフセット印刷では色や濃淡を小さな網点の密度で表現しますが、コロタイプでは連続階調で表現するため、写真のようにより本物に近い緻密なディテールで表現することができます。
北大路 魯山人（きたおおじ ろさんじん）
明治16〜昭和34（1883〜1959）年。陶芸・書・画を自ら手掛け、食を通じて美を追求した天才芸術家です。便利堂四代目・中村竹四郎が経営した料亭「星岡茶寮（ほしがおかさりょう）」では、顧問・料理長である魯山人の才能が遺憾なく発揮され一世を風靡しました。
