Description
| Supervised by Jun Kumanogo/ Etsu Noguchi Written by Yuji Watanabe Co-produced by Yuji Watanabe Illustrated by Yen Takaoka In this picture book, you can gently learn how the body is protected by the immune system when foreign enemies such as viruses and bacteria invade the body. In the story, Aisle-kun, who has been vaccinated, asks his father, Professor Sema, and Dr. Holin, who researches immunology, to show him how immune cells work and to explain why he has to receive the injection even though he is healthy. It is important for children to know how the immune system works, the types of immune cells and what they do, in order to protect their own bodies in the future. Aisle-kun learns the importance of vaccines and what he can do to support immune cells. The first edition of the first printing comes with an accompanying poster. The appendix poster includes content (Key Points of Immunity) that middle and high school students and adults can learn. (Age 5-6 if you want to read it to them. Younger children if reading alone.) |
