| *M1 is the acronym for BIG JOHN's main product number [M1002 Straight]. Like the ARCHIVE model planned for the 70th anniversary, it is based on the characteristics of M1002 of each decade. The M1 is an evolved model based on the features of the M1002 of each era, but with the essence of the modern era added to the fabric and fit. Simply put, M1 is the modern version of M1002. Denim fabric from Okayama is used in the product lineup, and each fabric has a different color fading effect. The silhouette is SELVEDGE BASIC, a tight straight with 14.5oz selvedge. There are four types of fabrics, and one feature is that all types of selvedge fabrics are used. A slimmer item is added to the M1 series, which is currently very popular at select stores overseas. The leather labels, which are common to all types, are made of slightly thicker goatskin leather that blends well with the fabric as it ages, and are designed to be enjoyed over time.
